Meet Chloe…
I’m Chloe Jones, a Blak, queer, Yorta Yorta creative working fluidly across art, curation, digital media, writing, and community-based cultural projects. I was born and raised on Yorta Yorta Woka (Country), and my practice has always been shaped by Country, kin, and the many strong matriarchs I walk behind and beside.
My work speaks to identity, memory, and resistance grounded in truth-telling, cultural advocacy, and the lived realities of displacement. But it’s also curious. I make what I want, how I want. Sometimes it's rebellious, sometimes it’s quiet. Always intentional.
As a writer, I offer critique and cultural commentary. As a curator, I build spaces where Blak expression can unfold on its own terms. As an artist, I create across canvas, wall, and screen regenerating cultural motifs and imagining new futures.
I don’t believe in boxes, binaries, or bureaucracies that stifle cultural integrity. I believe in process, purpose, and power through storytelling.
While I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Art History and Curation, most of my practice has been practice & place-based, shaped by being on Country, and through working in community-led creative spaces like Kaiela Arts. My learning has always been guided by lived experience, cultural responsibility, and the collective knowledge that surrounds me.
